Commerce Veterinary Hospital, Inc. was established in 1954 by Dr S.J. Shirley as a large animal ambulatory practice for treating cows and horses for many of the local farmers. Over time, it evolved into one of the largest small animal practices in Northeast Georgia. With an exceptional staff, Commerce Veterinary Hospital provides routine, surgical and preventative care to Commerce and the surrounding communities. With an emergency vet on call nights and weekends until 10p.m., the Commerce Veterinary Hospital cares for many other clinic's patients when emergencies occur after regular hours.

Your pet's health deserves the finest care; therefore we have carefully selected a diverse staff of veterinarians and technicians, each with a specific interest in companion animal medicine and surgery. We have veterinarians with special interests in orthopedic and soft tissue surgery, medicine, and emergency and critical care. Operating as a team, our staff works together to provide the best of care for your pets. Our hospital team consists of 4 Veterinarians, 5 Vet Techs, 5 receptionists, 2 kennel techs, 1 office manager and 1 book keeper.

Each member of our staff from the veterinarians and technicians to the receptionists and kennel techs, are committed to fostering the bonds between humans and pets, as well as striving for the advancement of veterinary medicine and surgery.
