ConnectUs is the platform where all student experiences are posted. “Get Involved” with a feed of events and positions in your school clubs, teams, and initiatives. Find jobs and volunteer positions through a search of your local community. Our feed is populated with posts by students, for other students to get out and gain new experiences.

ConnectUs is also your online professional resume; it is where all of your past experiences reside. It’s a resume that was built to accomplish so much more than only applying for jobs, universities or scholarships. Your ConnectUs resume helps you develop your first online professional presence, build your professional network and discover your future pathways.

A. Our “Get Involved” feed

Simply add your school on your ConnectUs profile and start browsing all of the different opportunities currently being offered in your school on your feed (Pssst! Only the posts added in the last 14 days will appear on the feed):

“Tryouts for the basketball team on Monday … “
“Food Drive Initiative looking for volunteers to create posters…”

B. Post to the “Get Involved” feed

We give YOU - the student - the power to create the posts. There’s no need to get other students to follow your club’s other socials to get updated on the latest events.

Now you can easily market your experience to all students in your school!

C. Your Professional Network

ConnectUs resumes are one of the most credible resumes out there because your experiences are verified and trusted. Our verification process (i) builds your network and (ii) provides trust that employers, universities and others are seeking.

This process is helping you and others verify your participation in experiences. All of your experiences on your profile will now have a number below, which represents the number of other members who have verified your involvement.

D. Your ConnectUs Profile

We have two tabs that showcase who you are: (1) The “Experiences” tab. This contains all experiences that can be found on a regular resume: Education, Work, Volunteer, etc. (2) The “Canvas” tab. This allows you to showcase who you are OUTSIDE of the classroom in a creative way: your bucket list, your interests and skills, a unique bio about yourself and more.

With the click of a button, your profile turns into a PDF resume that you can email or print. In addition, your resume has a QR code and link that directs back to your digital profile. One that will definitely STAND OUT.

E. Initiatives

We strongly believe in the power behind students creating their own experiences in the community: we call these ~initiatives~. Let's impact our communities in a positive way and give back! More and more universities and employers are looking for this in their applications, so we created a page and a section on our profile to let students add these initiatives.

F. Our Security

We are trying to make the ConnectUs platform the safest networking platform for our students as possible.

The first step is to verify who you are. Once registered, we block out our student search feature until you verify your identity. You are asked to get verified by a minimum of 3 professional email addresses. Professional email addresses include your teacher’s, parent’s, neighbour’s and all those you trust and who can verify your name, age and relationship to you.

This security feature allows us to hide our users who are 18 years old and under from our older users - 19 years old and older - on the platform. We also allow our students to be anonymous, or use initials for their profile name.
