Don’t be turned off by the name, which may strike some as so similar to Clash of Clans that the game could only be yet another clone of Supercell’s mobile MMO strategy game. On the contrary, the name Crash of Cars is less a pun that cashes in on the immense popularity of another game than a succinct description of what happens in the actual game it refers to. Surprise surprise: Crash of Cars features a lot crashing cars. And that’s simply because Crash of Cars is a car battle game. And a real-time multiplayer one at that.

Weapons of car destruction. To destroy your enemies, you can smash into them (again, the game is not called Crash of Cars for nothing). Better yet, you can also unlock, upgrade, and use power-ups — there are 16 of them at launch, including a cannon, a flamethrower, and a trebuchet.
Complete car-tastrophe. Crash of Cars features more than 30 unlockable cars across four different rarities (Common, Rare, Epic, Legendary), each with its special characteristics. The game also features more than 30 skins to customize your cars with. (It even comes with an iMessage app that lets you send stickers featuring different cars.)
What is it about?
In each match of Crash of Cars, you have to tap to steer your vehicle in order to collect as many crowns as possible while evading your opponents in search for crowns or destroying your opponents, Mario Kart-style, to steal their crowns. You’d want to set your sights on opponents in possession of lots of crowns, but you also would want to bear in mind that the more crowns you collect, the bigger of a target you become to other players. So there’s this push-pull element that keeps things challenging and exciting in the game.
For those who...
- like playing against other real players, whether friends or strangers from around the world.
- like fast-paced car battles.
Not for those who...
- don't enjoy sights of violence, vehicular or otherwise.
- prefer racing cars over crashing them.
Why we love it
There’s a wicked sense of satisfaction in seeing cars get destroyed — just watch a demolition derby or a “Fast and Furious” movie and see if you don’t feel exhilarated by the vehicular warfare that’s on display. And if you’re really into that sort of thing, you’re likely to get a kick out of Crash of Cars, from Earn to Die developer Not Doppler.
