As the economic growth in seven top cities in the country saturates, CREDAI focus must shifts to emerging class of cities. Tier 2, 3 and 4 cities, because of their “outstanding performance” in skill-based manufacturing industries such as automotive, consumer and capital goods, engineering, textiles, pharmaceuticals and sectors such as biotechnology and IT/ITeS are witnessing unprecedented growth. They would also receive strong support in the development of urban infrastructure by upgrading airports, building better mass rapid transport system such as BRTSS and/or metro rail etc. These tier 2, 3 and 4 cities are India’s ‘New Wave’ consumption hubs.
CREDAI is organizing the New India Summit at Empress Palace, Nagpur on November 9-10, 2017 with Tier 2, 3 and 4 cities as its focus. The summit would deliberate financial, technological and managerial requirements for real estate firms to create lasting competitive advantage in these cities. The New India theme of a Clean, Smart and Skilled India shall inform these deliberations as essential business strategies.
