Controlled Release Fertilizers (CRF) are more and more used in field grown applications for specialty agriculture and forestry crops

CRF Timer

by ICL

What is it about?

Controlled Release Fertilizers (CRF) are more and more used in field grown applications for specialty agriculture and forestry crops. These coated fertilizers offer a predictable and consistent release of nutrients over a specific time period. Since the amount of nutrients released daily is controlled by temperature and in line with plant uptake requirements, CRFs are an ideal tool to reduce nutrient losses and optimize the Nutrient Use Efficiency (NUE).

CRF Timer helps you to understand the monthly release and remaining availability of nutrients from your CRF in your local conditions and match plants demands. From CRF Timer you can chose a fertilizer application date, the closest country / city to your location and the CRF longevity you have chosen. The country / city combination connects historical weather data (temperature) from the location and calculates the response from this into the released and remaining nutrients. The app gives location options for many countries / cities around the globe.
CRF Timer can also be used outside the season to plan ahead and check which CRF longevity fits your crop and conditions best.
The CRF Timer app is based on the temperature response of ICL’s E-Max coating technology which is the CRF engine for the fertilizer brands Agrocote Max, Agrocote NPK, Agromaster and Agroblen Controlled Release Fertilizers.
