Freeyourbase proudly presents a therapy for loneliness!
Lonely people are those who are *unhappy* alone. Because there are also people who are happily alone. This means loneliness is an internal problem, not an external one. So it's about the inner feeling of the experience of being alone, not the outer state! This was also confirmed in a study. The meta-analysis in the specialist journal “Personality and Social Psychology Review” on the most effective methods in the fight against loneliness showed that the best method was not to improve the social skills of those affected or to bring the lonely people together through targeted measures. The most effective method was working with psychologists, i.e. inner work. This means that loneliness is a inner problem.
For example, a strong fear of being alone can develop in early childhood. This fear can lead to a strong neediness and a lack of independence, to a behavior that wants to avoid being alone at all costs. This can be very stressful and restrictive.
And what is the typical effect that occurs with every fear? That is exactly what you are afraid of is blocked. For example, if someone has a highly charged fear of decisions, it is precisely this experience of decisions that is blocked. It's the same with the fear of heights. The experience of height is avoided, blocked, the experience is no longer made, or, if you do that, it's very tense and cramped. That is why it is said that every fear also generates a pronounced avoidance behavior. Or the fear of flying. The experience of fear (of flying) is blocked, so you try to avoid it but if you experience it, it is in a rather cramped and tense way.
And this blockage is the consistent effect of fear. It blocks the very experience that you are afraid of. This means that if inside of you is a strong fear of being alone, this experience of being alone is blocked and avoided. And that is the experience of loneliness. Aloneness can simply no longer be experienced normally, but only in a tense and cramped way. This shows that it is about how you, or your repressed parts, relate to being alone. Also, there are other parts/emotions besides this fear. Any strongly charged fear or emotion can shape a life through such dynamics and blockages.
In this therapy, we will also check negative beliefs in you and treat them if necessary. Because if you unconsciously and deeply believe in dysfunctional beliefs such as “I will die alone”, this can also have an extremely depressing effect. We are not aware of the negative beliefs that are within us. People also construct their reality through such core beliefs.
Treating causes instead of symptoms!
How the therapy works:
Treatment is only given if something inside of you is present. With this measure, the therapy is tailored to you. The treatment has permanent effects. And in the case of fear, it happens *WITHOUT confrontation!* Furthermore, we do not go into the past, but remain in the here and now. Once the session is complete, there is no need for further repetition.
Another advantage of this therapy is that it is possible to treat thoroughly/completely! That takes a little longer but has benefits such as the fear is gone for good and will never be a burden again.
Note:
- There are no miracle cures in psychology. This is a serious specific psychotherapy, based on proven psychotherapeutic approaches, so everything works, but it takes time. Minimum treatment time is 20 hours.
