CUSP: Single-Use Plastic Calc

CUSP (Cease Using Single-use Plastic) is an app that measures and helps to reduce your impact from single-use plastic packaging. The app is unique in that it also measures the CO2 emissions from the single-use plastic packaging you consume.

The app presents a list of the most commonly used single-use plastic items (e.g. water bottles, milk containers, takeaway containers) and allows you enter your usage of each one over a 30 day period. The app provides you with hints and tips on how to reduce (or phase out) your usage of the 22 items.

After 30 days the app will allow you enter your new totals for each of the items. The app will then calculate your reductions, both in terms of weight but also the associated CO2 emissions. You will then have the option to keep using the app and further tracking your use/reductions.
