App Store Description

The Dazaga off-line dictionary app gives the translation of nearly Dazaga 4000 words into English and French, and vice versa.

Dazaga is the language of the Dazagada (Gorane), spoken primarily in northern Chad and eastern Niger.

This app does not require an Internet connection.

Scroll through the dictionary in all three languages or use the search function to look up words in any of the languages.

This preliminary version of dictionary includes (for some entries) example sentences, Tudaga glosses, partial verb conjugations, and dialectal variants.

This app includes words gathered from many different Dazaga speakers in Chad and Niger. We are continually expanding and improving the entries. Your suggestions for corrections and additions are welcome. Please send them to dictionnaire@dazaga.org.

We also recommend the Keyman soft keyboard, which allows typing in both Dazaga and Tudaga. Download it from https://moskohanadii.org/appa/ under “Ollo arba tudagaa” or from the AppStore under https://apps.apple.com/ch/app/keyman/id933676545
