De Lucy Primary School

I would like to take this opportunity to welcome you to De Lucy Primary School.

We are a growing school situated in Abbey Wood in the Royal Borough of Greenwich. In the academic year 2013-14, the school underwent a large expansion project to ensure that our school had the capacity to expand over the next few years. We are now three form entry in Reception, Year 1, Year 2 and Year 3 with ninety pupils in each year group. Our 'upper primary' phase (Years 4 - 6) are two form entry with sixty pupils. Each year for the next three years we will increase our intake by thirty pupils a year.

Our motto at De Lucy is 'High achievement in a caring community'. We pride ourselves on being a hard working yet friendly school which aims to provide pupils with as many opportunities to support them to succeed. We pride ourselves on the courteous nature of our pupils as well as their academic success. The majority of our end of key stage results (EYFS, Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2) are at or above national standards.

At De Lucy we have three school rules which both pupils and staff adhere to:

Newsletters are issued fortnightly on a Friday afternoon via email and are also posted on here on our website in the news tab, to ensure that you are kept up to date with all the latest news and to share in our successes. I hope that you find these useful and informative as I am keen to ensure that parents continue to be an important part of our school community.
