Students busy with class, homework, exams, meetings, interviews, and sports often find it hard to make the time to seek out the dining hall. DevilDash allows customers to eliminate the need to find this time and helps them gain valuable availability in their schedules. Stay in bed after a long night out, avoid the cold rain, or put in that extra hour before the midterm by having your food delivered right to you! Dropoff locations are located across campus.

No class on Fridays? Or just walking back from Wu to your dorm? If you have some spare time and want to make some extra cash, Be a Deliverer! DevilDash gives students the opportunity to earn quick money on campus. Decide your own hours with an easy login / logout experience and take advantage of the opportunity to earn tips from customers.

HOW IT WORKS

For customers - Customers first order their food via the Duke mobile order app. Then customers enter a few key pieces of information into the DevilDash app, including your name, what restaurant you ordered from, and where you would like your food to be dropped off. Customers also upload a screenshot of their order receipt from the Duke mobile order app. Once this is complete, you can be connected to a deliverer, who will pick up and deliver the food as requested.


For deliverers - Deliverers log on and DevilDash starts searching for orders with the click of a button. Before accepting an order, you can see the order information that was uploaded, which includes the pickup and drop-off locations and how much you can earn from the order. Then you can decide whether to accept it or to skip. Once accepted, pickup is easy. Since mobile orders are placed out in the open for students to claim, just find the right name at the pickup table! If requested, show the order receipt that was uploaded by the customer. Once you complete the order, the amount is transferred to your account!
