ABOUT THE GAMES
The DIG LETTER PEOPLE GAMES include five sets of learning games for each letter of the alphabet:
1. Letter Puzzle: Children put together jigsaw puzzles to create capital and lowercase letters, connect dots to create letters, and tap on the correct letters as they appear. These games support the development of letter naming and recognition skills.
2. Sound Match: Children identify the pictures that begin with a given sound and match initial sounds to previously learned letters. These games support the development of phonemic awareness and letter-sound correspondence skills.
3. Fun with Letters: Children find the letter that makes a given sound. This game supports the development of letter-sound correspondence and phonics skills.
4. Find the Words: Children practice identifying 26 sight words in two separate games. These games support the development of rapid high-frequency word recognition.
5. Write On: Children draw a picture using fun stickers and drawing tools and write a short story using the keyboard. This activity supports the development of emergent reading and writing skills.
