What is it about?
Hill’s DIGESTIVE INDEX is a free smartphone web app for veterinarians to quickly and easily score the severity of the signs of chronic enteropathy (CE) / inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) by completing one of two published scoring systems – the chronic inflammatory bowel disease activity index (CIBDAI)1 or the canine chronic enteropathy clinical activity index (CCECAI)2. The total score ‘dashboard’ is a very easy way for you as clinician to show the severity of the problem to the owner. By reassessing the score after treatment, it also provides you an objective visual aid to show improvement (or deterioration) of the situation to the pet parent. This app is not designed for the diagnosis of CE or IBD, only as an aid in its management. Proper diagnosis and patient management are always the responsibility of the attending veterinary surgeon. Hill’s cannot be held responsible for any claims, by the pet owner or the veterinarian, related to the diagnosis or patient management that have been applied or recommended by the veterinary healthcare team as a result of using this app.
