In the world of blockchain, mastering the private key is everything. The security of the private key is becoming a very important issue. Thanks to Apple for providing the Secure Enclave technology, we can store the private key safe and sound.

The Secure Enclave is a hardware-based key manager that’s isolated from the main processor to provide an extra layer of security. When you store a private key in the Secure Enclave, you never actually handle the key, making it difficult for the key to become compromised. Instead, you instruct the Secure Enclave to create the key, securely store it, and perform operations with it. You receive only the output of these operations, such as encrypted data or a cryptographic signature verification outcome.

Digital Paper Wallet uses the technology provided by Apple to encrypt your private key through Secure Enclave and store it locally. The encrypted data can only be decrypted by biometric information such as Face ID and Touch ID on the device. In addition, all information is only stored locally, and no network communication is required during the entire app runtime.

Since the app needs Face ID or Touch ID, running this app requires your device to support this type of functionality.
