An exciting real-time action-adventure retro-platformer that combines an innovative gameplay concept with the pixelly goodness of the great 8-bit hits of the 80s and 90s.

The brave but not-too-bright Captain has a tendency to leap before he looks. He’ll need your help to place platforms and other gameplay items to keep him out of trouble and protect him from angry aliens and hungry jungle creatures. Explore 40 replayable levels while searching for the ship parts and fuel cells that were scattered across the island. Along the way, you’ll encounter dangerous traps, diabolical aliens, and advanced alien technology. And of course, space toilets.


GAME FEATURES:

INNOVATIVE GAMEPLAY AND INTERACTIVITY
The intrepid Captain Dimby has crash-landed on a mysterious alien world! Help Dimby find the missing parts of his ship so that his snarky robot co-pilot C.H.A.R.L.I.E. can put their craft back together and escape this hostile jungle paradise!

40 REPLAYABLE LEVELS
Dimby’s Island has 4 unique sectors and 40 playable levels, with a fuel pod and a ship part to find in each level. You can move on to the next level empty-handed, as long as you can find the exit. But if you want to complete the game and escape the planet, you’ll have to go back and find all of the missing fuel cells and ship parts.

ADORABLE HAZARDS AND ENEMIES
This mysterious planet is a dangerous environment, with hints of an advanced alien civilization embedded underground. Avoid hostile birds, electrical spike fields, angry drones, missile attacks, ancient temple stompers, green acid baths, lava lakes, and many more!

UNIQUE PLAYER MOVEMENT STYLE

Each level brings new challenges for Dimby to navigate! Different kinds and sizes of platforms allow Dimby to move in fun and surprising ways! Bounce platforms, mini-platforms, bubble transports, robot snatchers, teleportals and anti-gravity fans allow Dimby to explore the island while escaping from his enemies!

4 AWESOME BOSS BATTLES
Confront the strange alien overlords who have taken over this island paradise! You’ll need all the tricks you’ve learned to overcome the sector bosses and escape the island!

KID-FRIENDLY
No blood and guts! If Dimby runs into an angry alien, his helpful robot pal C.H.A.R.L.I.E. just loads him back into the matter transporter and sends him back to the start of the level!

ABOUT THE DEVELOPER:
Colin Bridges is a game designer and animator based out of Boston, MA. He started his career as an animator for Saturday morning cartoons, and after working for companies like MTV, FOX, Showtime, and others, he founded Sketchariffic Games.

Dimby’s Island is his first mobile game. It’s a vintage retro-platformer based on the classic 8-bit games of the 80s and 90s.
