What is it about?

DTR Television is an American television channel targeting African-American audiences. It was launched by Byron LOVE Luv in 2021. DTR or Definite Truth Re-invigorated comes from an iconic rap name of the network’s founder. Byron LOVE Luv was formerly known as “DTR - Down To Rock”. SO, he incorporated the letters into the television world. The idea was to present entertainment and informative shows like BET used to before it was co-opted and eventually sold. It’s for everyone but it caters to African-Americans. No other stations are “really Black”. Most of them are not Black-owned or they show programming that has Black characters that don’t reflect the true experience of Black people. Some stations actually highlight and celebrate the stereotypes of Black people. This network was designed to counter all that negativity and the multiple agendas that attack people.
