Dutabash

DUTABASH platform will help the Bangladeshi Citizens around the globe and also those who are living at home. It will provide necessary consular or welfare services provided by the MOFA at the fingertips of the citizens of Bangladesh.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MOFA) formulates and executes the foreign policy of the Government of Bangladesh. The core guidance of policy formulation comes from the relevant section of the Constitution of Bangladesh In developing the external policy of the Republic, the Ministry draws from the laws of the land, acts of the Parliament, international treaties that Bangladesh is a State party to, and other customary sources. In discharging it's functions, the Ministry follows the provisions of the Rules of Business of the Government of Bangladesh. The consular and welfare wing under MoFA, on a day to day basis, deals with 6-7 millions of service requests received from all over the world. With the increase of the number of expatriates, the cases received at the end of MoFA and its missions abroad have been increasing at an exponential pace.

‘Dutabash’ application has been created with a vision to ensuring digital and effective consular service delivery for all the citizens of Bangladesh living home and abroad. ‘Dutabash’ bridges the long standing communication divide between people and the Government. Dutabash stands as the unique platform for the citizens to avail digital consular and welfare services i.e. attestation, repatriation, renunciation, providing legal and consular assistance to the Bangladesh nationals abroad as well as foreign nationals in Bangladesh. The very uniqueness of the application was the biggest development challenge with a view to transforming manual process into digital code and most importantly, making it functional.
