Application for renting electric scooters
E-twow Ride Sharing is a mobility solution that allows you to rent electric scooters.
E-twow Ride Sharing is the first large-scale application in Romania for renting electric scooters. The E-twow Ride Sharing solution for urban mobility consists of electric scooters and docking stations located in strategic areas of Timisoara. The app allows you to locate the most appropriate scooter dock, and unlock a scooter, so that you can travel easily from one part of the city to another.
For now, the E-twow Ride Sharing Urban Mobility solution is free and can be used by any person holding an active STPT card. Electric scooters are a more environmentally friendly alternative to conventional urban transportation, helping save you time, and explore the city in a fun way.
How it works:
For the efficient use of E-twow Ride Sharing services, please follow these steps:
1. After installing the app, create a user account. To create the account requires a user name, a password and a phone number,
2. In order to rent a scooter, you need a valid STTP card. After logging into the app, go to the right menu, and select the STOP Card option. Enter the card series and your CNP (numeric personal code) then click on the Validate button
3. On the application map, you will be able to see the docking stations with the associated scooters and the battery level of each scooter. It is advised to choose the scooter with the highest battery level.
4. To unlock the scooter, remove the charging cable and press the Unlock button in the application. After pressing the button, the phone camera will open, and you will need to scan the QR code on the scooter.
5. After scanning the code, you have 7 seconds to remove the scooter from the docking station, after which you can start your trip.
6. You are entitled to half an hour of use. If you exceed your allocated time, you will be contacted by STTP by phone to ask you to park the scooter in one of the docking stations.
7. For parking, a free slot must be identified on the docking station and you must scan the QR code next to the charging station.
8. After selecting the parking slot, press the Park button in the application. After pressing the button, the phone's camera will open and you will need to scan the QR code next to the selected charging station.
9. After scanning the parking QR code, you have 7 seconds to dock your scooter and attach the charging cable. If you have not succeeded in 7 seconds, you can repeat the parking procedure.
10. If you park the scooter, but do not attach the charging cable, on the application you will see a button I connected, which must be pressed after attaching the cable to complete the parking procedure. If you parked on the side A of the docking station, attach the charging cable marked with the letter A.
11. Once the 2 parking conditions (docking and attaching the charging cable) are met, your trip will end and you will be able to start another trip at the desired time.
