暗棋是一个利用象棋棋盘与棋子来进行的棋类游戏，它的规则没有象棋般复杂，走棋在上，被吃子在下，虽然暗棋看起来如此的简单，但却一直受到大众的喜爱。
游戏一开始需要先将所有棋子盖上，布置在4x8的方格上，由其中一人先翻开其中一子，该棋子的颜色就是该玩家在本局的棋，另一人则操纵另一种颜色的棋子。双方各16棋，先吃完对方棋子为胜利者。
