《佛学大辞典》是由近代无锡人丁福保先生转译日本真宗大谷派学僧织田得能著作《织田佛学大辞典》而成。共收辞目三万余条，内容相当广泛，包括佛教各种专门名词、术语、典故、典籍、专著、名僧、史迹等等本书对每条辞目首先注明其词性，如“名数”、“物名”、“地名”、“书名”、“人名”、“术语”、“杂语”、“譬喻”、“故事”、“仪式”、“图像”等。然后解释其辞义，徵引其出处。凡一辞有多义者，则依次列出，间亦作必要的考证而对翻译的重要专门名词、术语、人名、佛典等，则均注出梵文或巴利文，以便检阅原书。
