钢筋水泥遍布的都市丛林之中，有关传统、神明和信仰的一切都悄然沈默在旧时的街巷之中。
直到原本身为平凡人的你无意间闯入了隐藏在普通表象下的另一个世界——
在那里，你见到了本应该只存在于传说之中，与日常生活息息相关又自成一派的存在：城隍爷、河神、土地老爷、异国神甫……各路神仙轮番登场。
与此同时，表面上平凡的聿城也逐渐展现出了它的另一种模样，游魂、恶鬼、风水局、孤儿院、「吃人」的佛像……
魑魅魍魉轮番登场，而本来自诩「普通」的你，身上似乎也牵扯着一个了不得的秘密。
为解决这一切，你不得不和这些半路相逢的神仙搭伙，走上一条驱邪祟、断执妄、圆夙愿的「不归路」。
千百年前的祸端逐渐逼近，待到尘埃落定之后，是新生，还是重逢？
