The situation is simple: your Eagle module is approaching the ground of a planet, at a given altitude, with a limited quantity of fuel.
You are going to start with zero vertical speed, but this will change quickly, thanks to gravity. 
Your job is simply to adopt the right strategy to make a good landing, that is: to arrive safely, at zero altitude, with a vertical speed close to zero.
To achieve this goal, you can rely on your Autopilot ... or not...
Finally, you'll compare your latest performance to the previous one and measure your progress. 
The manual control time and the amount of fuel you managed to save are good indicators.
