Eatster was developed by Metaklinik, a nutrition research and advisory company based in Bratislava, Slovakia.
Metaklinik started its operation in 2012 as "Paleo center", by publishing complex nutrition information website paleo.sk, which has been attracting a lot of traffic ever since. Due to the frequent requests of its visitors, the website's content was very soon converted into practical guidebook - local bestseller "Modern paleo" and later its sequel "Modern paleo in 28 days".
While preparing the book "Modern paleo", we started a symbiotic cooperation with the local clinic (klinikamd.sk) in Bratislava, Slovakia. The patients of the clinic are getting both regular medical treatment by clinic's MDs, but also individual nutritional advice from us. Apart from the standardized medical treatment, we provide personal lifestyle and diet consultations and personalized meal-plans. Our clinical experience proves that combination of diet adjustments and modern medicine leads to remarkable improvements in patients' conditions and overall health.
Throughout the years, we have been doing our own nutrition research, as well as processing and analyzing data collected from our clinical practice. We have eventually created a much upgraded version of the original website - a nutrition encyclopedia named "foodpedia". Although we had originally began with paleo / primal philosophy, we have eventually evolved towards individual nutrition approach based on patient's personal specifics. You can browse the beta version of the foodpedia at metaklinik.eu/foodpedia (note: use landscape tablet or regular computer for viewing - smartphone version is not comprehensible for new users).
In 2015, based on all the research and experience from the clinic, we started developing the online app - Eatster, releasing beta version in 2016. Public tests provided lots of feedback, which was thoroughly incorporated into the application during 2017. The engine behind Eatster holds a complex and robust logic and algorithms and its evaluation matrix produces thousands of unique results.
Although we have tested the Eatster from A to Z countless times, we are aware that modern information technologies are extremely complex. Therefore, IF you do find what you believe is a glitch, bug or an error, either in content or functionality, please let us know. We will do our best to release a new, corrected version of Eatster. You can submit your findings via feedback form in Eatster or simply send us an email: info@metaklinik.eu.
Thank you for using and sharing Eatster! :-)
