Echobatix is a subscription app that provides text accessibility and barcode reading. You can interact with touch screens, control panels, and inkprint text, including text on objects in your hand. You can also read UPC codes on grocery items.
The app is available as a monthly or annual subscription with a one-week free trial that provides access to all features. The first time the app starts you'll select a monthly or annual subscription. Then your one-week free trial begins. During the one-week free trial you'll have access to ALL features of Echobatix, including Explore, Read, and Barcode modes. After the one-week free trial your renewable monthly or annual subscription begins with access to all features. You can cancel your subscription at any time.
In Explore mode, hear words spoken aloud as you move your index finger across a surface with text. In Read mode, hear your iOS device read text read aloud from an object in your hand. In Barcode mode, point your iOS device at a UPC code to hear a short description for a grocery store item. Use the Help screen to access training, provide feedback, or review your subscription.

Echobatix works with large fonts and with VoiceOver. If VoiceOver is not enabled, then the Echobatix app generates speech using the default voice.
Over the past few years we have developed and tested our point and speak capability for mobile devices and smart glasses. Our team, half of which is blind, is committed to continual innovation, including a patent pending for upcoming features. The Echobatix app is a tool to exercise your right to accessibility.
