What is it about?

Encore believes the systems behind employers providing quality health insurance to employees and families across the United States are broken. The current cost to insure a family under the average healthcare plan is simply unaffordable for many employees and employers. Every year families make the difficult choice of determining whether or not to enroll in healthcare coverage. Encore believes access to quality care should not be a choice governed by affordability. From an employer's perspective, it is also a difficult choice for companies to offer appropriate plans in a business environment where costs continue to rise. The system as it functions across many businesses in America today is a system that benefits the insurance and pharmaceutical companies. At the same time, the lion's share of the financial burden rests with the employer and their employees. This inequity inspired Encore to dismantle the system piece by piece and attempt to create a new system that allows more employees to access care at a lower cost. We invite all of you to join in this mission and help create a new paradigm in which healthcare is not a financial burden dictated by affordability, but rather a true benefit to living a healthier, longer, and more fulfilled life.
