How to Use EnduroBro
I created EnduroBro to make race timing more accessible and affordable for event organizers. The idea came after I received a huge bill for timing an event I hosted to raise funds for my local trail system. It didn’t sit right that two-thirds of the money I raised was going to race timing. EnduroBro ensures accurate results (RFID chip timing ±1 sec; manual timing ±0.1 sec; start gate & photocell timing ±0.01 sec) without breaking the bank.
With EnduroBro, as long as you have cell service (offline capability is coming in version 2.0), you can:
• Time an unlimited number of racers.
• Manage up to 10 stages using at least two iOS devices (one at the start and one at the finish).
The Pro version allows multi-stage race creation. The free version supports single-stage races but can be used to help with timing multi-stage Pro races.
Getting Started
1. Create an Account and Log In.
2. Access the Race Manager Screen.
• Use this to create a race by naming it and selecting the number of stages.
• Share your race’s unique Race ID with anyone helping with timing. You can copy the Race ID and send it to your team directly from this screen.
3. Joining a Race.
• Timers enter the Race ID in the “Join Race” box on their Race Manager screen. The race will then populate on their race list.
Managing Racers
1. Select your race from the list to access the Content View.
2. Add racer details, including:
• Name
• Bib number
• Class, gender, and age group
Additional racers can be added anytime.
Timing a Race
1. Navigate to the Start Stage Screen.
• Racers are organized by bib number.
• Start timing for each racer as they leave the starting line.
• For mass-start races, toggle the mass start button to start all racers’ timers simultaneously.
2. At the finish line, the timer navigates to the corresponding stage using the stage navigation buttons.
• The stage view displays only the bib numbers of racers currently on course.
• Press the racer’s bib number as they cross the finish line to record their stage time.
Viewing and Sharing Results
1. Navigate to the Final Results View.
• Racers’ individual stage times and total times are recorded.
• Results are organized by class, gender, and age, with standings based on fastest times.
• Racers who don’t complete a stage are marked as DNF and placed at the bottom of their class.
2. Share results via:
• Text or email
• File saving
• AirPrint
EnduroBro makes race timing straightforward, efficient, and accessible for all. Give it a try and make your event smoother than ever!
