App Store Description

Most brain growth occurs during the first 3 years of life. Interaction with parents and other caregivers is essential to optimize development during early childhood and has lasting effects on school performance. The Bright by Three (BB3) App is designed to help caregivers support their child’s development during this critical period. The activities and information delivered via the BB3 app encourage caregivers to engage in the important behaviors of Talking, Reading, Playing and Praise with their children.

With the BB3 app you will receive personalized messages every other day with information and activities to support early brain development during daily routines. Each message is accompanied by background information that explains how the activity helps your child’s development. Messages often contain links to webpages that will help you to complete the activity or learn more about your child’s development. Some activities are accompanied by a video demonstration. You can accumulate points and earn rewards when you respond to questions and complete activities.

Shared reading is one of the most important activities that caregivers can do with children to support early brain development. The American Academy of Pediatrics encourages caregivers to read with their young children regularly to support language development and build communication skills. With the BB3 app you can set reading goals, log daily reading minutes and earn points and rewards for reading with your child! You can also link to the BB3 Facebook page to share experiences and advice with other parents.

The BB3 app is available in both English and Spanish.
