Being able to communicate in English, getting a high score on the TOIEC, IELTS, TOEFL exams, or simply to advance at work is not a simple question. To communicate well you have to understand what others are saying and you have to tell them what you mean.

For basic communication, we need to know about 1,000 words that describe objects, actions, and states in English. Knowing 1,000 words plus the right pronunciation, you can speak and communicate at a basic level with foreigners and use English in moderation in the work environment. To communicate and understand English at more intensive and diverse levels, you will need to master around 3,000 to 5,000 English words.
