In 2002, the entire city of Changchun in Northeastern China went into lockdown after a small group of residents tapped into the state-controlled television network to expose the persecution they had suffered under the Chinese Communist Party. The government responded with unprecedented brutality, but the shockwaves of that brave act continue to ripple through China today.

Our production team spent years interviewing survivors as well as the friends and family of those who never made it out. We’ve sought to tell their harrowing tales through a new concept in multimedia storytelling including a feature film (coming soon), comic books, a virtual reality experience, and this website full of exclusive content from our producers and visionary art director Daxiong.

Daxiong was born and raised in Changchun. He built China's first real comic book studio in the 1990s, but after the crackdown in 2002, he had to flee and become a refugee. Teaming up with Jason and Masha Loftus in Toronto, the team created Eternal Spring to tell the true story of how the Chinese Communist Party came to persecute the peaceful meditation practice of Falun Gong and the devasting human rights abuses that have dominated modern Chinese history.

This riveting and heart-wrenching series of interactive graphic novels reveals the true story of persecution and peaceful resistance in China.

Full of incredible characters who transform from quiet, law-abiding citizens into outlaws because of their faith in Falun Dafa, a traditional Buddhist practice of meditation and personal cultivation that the Chinese Communist Party found threatening. Sworn to non-violence with their principles of Truthfulness, Compassion, and Forbearance, this group of peaceful men and women struggle to counteract the hatred and misinformation in the world's most repressive country.

Facing torture, imprisonment, and death, all while evading the police that swarm the city, our heroes figure out a way to tap into the state-run television broadcast to show their own videos about Falun Gong and the persecution. Their actions changed the fate of millions, and many of them paid the ultimate price in the aftermath.

Eternal Spring combines documentary interviews, comic books, animation, interactive experiences, and a feature film to give the most in-depth and compelling look at the persecution of Falun Gong that's ever been compiled. Through the incredible artwork of Daxiong and the producers' relentless pursuit of truth, Eternal Spring will open your eyes to a world of beautiful spirits facing unimaginable pressure.
