Anxiety presents itself in many different ways

Euman

by Euman Therapeutics Private Limited

What is it about?

Anxiety presents itself in many different ways. The feeling is often triggered before an important presentation, in times of emotional or financial distress, during a fight with your partner, or when we lose control over situations. Something as simple as missing a train or being stuck in traffic can worsen anxiety. Anger can sometimes be a sign of anxiety, and so, too, could physical issues such as headaches, nausea and stomach pain.

You see, anxiety is normal and an intrinsic aspect of being human. It’s like eating a cake – a thin slice of it can induce a ‘feel good’ feeling, but binging on it is going to invite trouble. Similarly, a little anxiety can help us perform at an optimum level, but anything more than that is bound to take a significant toll on our mental health.

Now, while the world has evolved fabulously as far as technology is concerned, our culture and community hasn’t entirely embraced the idea of seeking out therapy. Many people still do not seek out therapy out of fear or embarrassment. While some are ashamed of being perceived as ‘broken’ or ‘vulnerable’, many others are afraid of being judged.

The truth, however, is that if our condition is making us suffer, we deserve to seek help from an experienced therapist – because avoiding situations or experiences that make us anxious isn’t the solution. We hate to tell you this, but avoidance can actually aggravate the anxiety.

At Euman, we have a team of mental health experts to figure out which kind of therapy best matches your needs, and walk alongside you and support you in your self-care journey.
The best part, you ask?

* Everything is virtual: You can work with your self-care plan in the comfort of your own home – without having to travel long distances or taking significant time out of a busy schedule.
* Just as effective: Research shows that online therapy can be just as effective as in-person therapy.
* Accessible much: We have a team of trained and knowledgeable therapists who are more than happy to provide high-quality support anywhere and everywhere.
* Easy on the pocket: Our subscription-based self-care plans are priced reasonably, and way more affordable than private counselling sessions.
* It’s discreet: Because the process is completely virtual, it eliminates the fear of running into people at the therapist’s.
