EVA International returns to Limerick City from 16 April to 17 July 2016 working with some of the world's leading artists and curators to bring outstanding exhibitions to audiences on the west coast of Ireland. This app allows you to explore the full EVA International program, book tickets and find your way to each venue.

EVA International is Ireland's Biennial of Contemporary Art. Every two years EVA International works with guest curators to create a twelve-week programme of exhibitions and events that engage with the people and city of Limerick, Ireland. Since its foundation in 1977, EVA International has worked with some of the world's leading artists and curators, bringing outstanding exhibitions to audiences on the west coast of Ireland. Artists' projects are selected through an international open and invited call for proposals and exhibitions take place in both gallery and non-gallery spaces. EVA International 2016, title Still (the) Barbarians' is curated by Koyo Kouoh and is open to the public from 16 April to 17 July. Within the context of the 1916 Easter Rising centenary, 'Still (the) Barbarians' investigates the post-colonial condition of Ireland as a point of departure from where artistic reflections, critical redefinitions and political transformations are articulated. Fifty-seven artists and fifty projects are exhibited at six venuesåÊin this the 37th edition of Ireland's Biennial. Anå Activation programme will provide opportunities for discourse and dialogue in response to the exhibition, and Young EVA with education curator Katy Fitzpatrick and philosopher Aislinn O'Donnell ‰ÛÓ will facilitate a series of workshops between children, young people and participating artists.
