App Store Description

This app is designed to help students understand and explore the relationship between various quantities in the ideal gas law PV = nRT. It contains an interactive interface for students to learn the relationship between the given quantities in the equation as well as a calculator to determine an unknown quantity in the equation. It also has animations depicting each of the assumptions in the kinetic molecular theory.

- Helps teach chemistry to science and engineering students, or even senior high school level.
- Intuition Building - allows you to keep 2 of the variables fixed and adjust the other two to see the relationship between those two quantities
- Includes animations to develop an understanding of the Kinetic Molecular Theory
- Includes a calculator to solve for an unknown quantity in the ideal gas law
- User can select various units of measurement when using the calculator

Features:
This app is designed to help students learn about the fundamentals of the Ideal Gas Law PV = nRT. It features an interactive tool where the user can take any of the 4 variables in the equation and hold two of them constant and then explore the relationship between the other two variables.

The app also features a calculator where the given quantities can be entered in and the last unknown value and be determined. The quantities can be entered in a variety of different units. To further understand the underlying assumptions of the ideal gas law, animations of each of the postulates of the Kinetic Molecular Theory are included for students to explore.

This app is useful to individuals who are interested in learning about the ideal gas law aimed at the early undergraduate and senior high school level. It helps solidify concepts through various interactive activities and provides a calculator for students to check their work with the correct units.

How to Use the App

- Learn about the Ideal Gas Law by clicking through each of the tabs

- Visualizer
-- Hold any of the two variables constant and use the slider to change the values of the other two variables and see how they proportional to each other.
- Calculator
-- Press on the text box to enter in the give values
-- After three of them are entered, the last one will be calculated
-- Switch between units of measurement at the bottom of each text box

- Kinetic Molecular Theory
-- Click on each point to learn more about assumptions of ideal gases.
