What is it about?

Fancy a bet is a clear and focused app designed to help people stop gambling. It is aimed at anyone who gambles; whether they think they have a problem or not, and is presented in a clear easy to process format along with a strong theme that gambling is evil. This is designed to make the user question why they gamble. The app is divided into three sections: tools, information and action. The tools section contains a gambling calculator, up to date (shocking) industry statistics and an odds calculator. The information section contains thought provoking sections on chasing, the consequences of gambling and how to stop. The action section invites the user to sign an e-petition for their national government to investigate the effects of problem gambling. There is also a share function to help spread the word via social media. The author was a problem gambler for years and has now successfully stopped gambling. He has designed this app with the aim of using his knowledge and experience to help others stop their addiction.
