Perform finite element analysis (FEA) of electric motors, at no cost and locally on your device.
FErez is made for electric motor designers who are looking for a convenient tool for early design stages. It offers:
- Winding layout configuration
- Geometry creation (internal/external rotor, various slot and magnet shapes, slotted/slotless/ironless)
- Material selection (pre-loaded B(H) and iron loss curves)
- Multi-step FEA magnetostatic 1st order computations (torque, back-EMF, inductance, losses)
- Structural mechanics with FEA calculated 1st order natural frequencies of the stator
- Steady-state heat transfer with FEA 1st order elements.
- Analytical efficiency mapping, noise harmonics, etc.
As I explore with FEA, SwiftUI and electric motor design, more features will be added in the future. Also, new geometry topologies will progressively join the party. Please report any bug you might encounter and features you would like to see. Be indulgent, I work on this app alone and on my free time!
