Findpet mobile app is a simplified version of our website service at Findpet.com. Using this app you can:
1) Report your lost pet
2) Report an unattended pet on a street
3) Register your pet proactively just in case it gets lost later
4) Help to reunite lost pets by reviewing and matching similar lost and found pets
4) Mass report all inbound pets at your shelter or vet clinic
5) Create and download a lost or found pet flyer
6) Enhance pet photos to increase their visibility in social media
7) Send enhanced pet photos directly to your shelter management software
Findpet is active across the entire U.S. We have the largest database of lost, found and adoptable pets in the country. Our community has tens of thousands of active pet-loving members. We’ve helped to reunite thousands of lost pets with their families.
Because Findpet uses Computer Vision and Machine Learning to automate pet search and help lost pets to find their way home we need just a photo of your pets. For this reason the app is super simple and the main purpose is to add pet photos as simple and as fast as possible.

How to report lost or found pet?
Register in the app and press "+" button to add a new pet. Then take or upload photos of your pet, choose the report type, i.e. lost or found, and fill in any other relevant details.
What if my pet is reunited?
Find the reunited pet report, tap on report type and choose from the drop-down menu 'Reunited'.
I want to proactively register my pet
With Findpet you can proactively register your pet before it is too late. Go to the main screen and press "+" icon to create a new pet report. Add photos of your pet and all relevant information. In 'Report type' choose 'Register my pet in advance' - this way, till you change status to 'Lost', your pet will not be shown in general search results, only when you search by photo.
How detailed pet reports should be?
While we ask you to add as much information as possible, we understand how busy everyone is. Since Findpet uses Computer Vision we need at least one high-quality photo of each pet.
How should I take photos?
Use your smartphone camera to take photos of your pets. We recommend taking at least one good frontal photo of the pet with a full face, ears, nose and whiskers in the frame. We also recommend taking photos of unique color patterns, birthmarks, tattoos, etc. that would help to identify the pet.
We reunited a lost pet using Findpet
Because pets are family, our furbabies, there’s nothing quite like seeing a family reunited. Write us at reunions@findpet.org and share your story.
FOR SHELTERS, VETS AND OTHER MASS PET REPORTERS
How to join?
To report pets on behalf of your organization, you will need to enter your organization's Findpet Organization ID (consists of 5-6 digits and letters). Once you connect your account to your Organization using Findpet Organization ID all pet reports you submit will be associated with that organization and will be published at Findpet.com.
I don’t have Findpet Organization ID
If you don’t have a Findpet Organization ID ask your Administrator to get one. To get the Findpet ID email us at [shelters@findpet.org](mailto:shelters@findpet.org) with detailed information about your organization and we’ll create you one.
I don’t have Findpet Organization ID, but our shelter partners with Petfinder
If your organization partners with Petfinder you can use Petfinder Organisation ID too. It generally starts with your state code, i.e. FL777.
Join us and start helping to reunite lost pets with their pet parents!
