Flikko is a food, non-food, and coupon-sharing app, for free.
What do we do with all the excess food, unused clothes, footwear, coupons, etc? We just watch them while they expire or become useless. We are on that list too in wasting food, clothes getting discolored by not using them for a long time, snacks getting expired, old gadgets getting damaged due to battery leaks, and not getting used.
So we made this app where we can share anything and everything. Be it food, electronics, furniture, books, pet-related stuff, and everything else. You can even share unused coupons and gift cards you may no longer intend to use. They may be useless for us but can save money or time for someone else and maybe add a smile to their face.
Consider this simple scenario. We all can afford bouquets and gifts. And the bouquets we get are useless once we receive them. Imagine posting that bouquet on the app, and your watchman collects it from you and gifts it to his wife.
The concept is simple. The impact can be unimaginable.
In this app, you can also share your thoughts about anything that can add value to others. You made someone smile? Snap a photo and share the story with a community post on the app. This app is all about positivity and impact. Mostly to build a community of people helping and sharing life with each other.
Not only sharing, but feel free to accept and receive things being shared by others. Don't feel shy to give or take food and non-food items. Instead, feel proud for not letting it go waste.
Even if you don't have a need for such items, you can collect and surprise your watchman, helpers, kids around you, colleagues, friends, and family. Because without givers and receivers, this app doesn't add any value to anyone.
Forgot to mention, the app is completely free for everyone and everywhere. Whoever said "nothing is free in this world", definitely didn't try Flikko.
The app is easy to use. Click on POST, to add a food or non-food item or a community post. To receive, just select any item on the app and click on self-pickup. This will start a chat with the giving user. You can coordinate over chat about when and where to collect. That's it.
You can also use the quick replies and quick actions buttons available within the chat. Using quick actions, you can request the location of the product and access many such useful features. Don't forget to mark items as picked up once they are collected. Based on these the app will track how much food or non-food you have shared and saved.
With all that being said, even though the app is made with good intentions, it can be misused. So we had to add some restrictions keeping security and safety in mind. A few such things include seeking user location, not allowing swear words, etc. We made the app as secure and safe as possible.
Feel free to share your feedback / suggestions. We would love to hear your response. And don't forget to tag @heyflikko on social media whenever you give or receive items on Flikko. It motivates and reminds others also to be a part of this impact.
