Florida Black Expo
What is it about?
The purpose of the Black Expo is to promote economic development through increased exposure for minority-owned businesses. African-American-owned businesses have the opportunity to showcase their products and services to the public and procurement. It is also an opportunity for major corporations and government entities to develop viable working relationships with minority-owned businesses while marketing their products and services to the growing consumer market. The Expo is also a forum to educate, enlighten and inspire the entire community and the African-American community in particular. Aside from economic development, exposure to cultural resources is a part of the focus for this event.

At its height, The Florida Black Expo Jacksonville attracted over 16,000 Attendees. The Expo offered participants engagement, education, and entertainment with over 300 retail vendors, corporate entities, community and governmental agencies in a creative, high-energy setting.
After a three-year hiatus, Thomas Media Group and The Pollock Group have planned the return of The Florida Black Expo (FBX) to reignite this pivotal catalyst for growth in 2021. We will start the year with the new FBX Spring Empowerment Summit on May 21st & 22nd for Career Seekers, Entrepreneurs & Teenpreneurs. August will see the return of The Taste @ FBX, The Inaugural FBX Media Awards, and of course the Florida Black Expo at the historic Prime F. Osborn III Convention Center, Saturday, October 23, 2021.
The Florida Black Expo (FBX) Returns to Jacksonville, FL…Bigger, Bolder, and Better than EVER for a Bigger, Bolder, Better YOU! Our goal for the 2021 Florida Black Expo is to have every participant, whether they be a consumer, youth, local small business, community organization, or local/national corporation, leave the Expo better than they came.
To accomplish this lofty goal we have realigned the FBX to target specific need areas identified as critical for African Americans. By attending the 2021 Florida Black Expo our community will experience the Five Pillars of Economic Success: Entrepreneurship, Jobs, Education & Culture, Health & Wealth Creation.
