Flower Shop AR

For the Euroshop 2020 the HSD (Hochschule Düsseldorf) created a so called Premium City in which various projects of students are placed. Premium City is a vision of a city in 2050 and this project is a futuristic flower shop.
The flower industry nowadays is problematic because flowers from the discounter seem much cheaper than a bouquet from the local florist - but what you don‘t know: the flowers from the discounter travelled half above the globe and been planted on big flower farms in Africa for example where people work from the morning into the night for a very low wage. And so the local florists can’t compete with the discounters regarding the prices. More and more florists are closing and the number of trainees as a florist decreases constantly - of course, the future of a florist does not look bloomy at all.

This project is an Augmented Reality project with 3 different floral images, on which you can see a 3D flower with this app. Hold the printed image in front of the camera and enjoy the AR experience on your device.
