App Store Description

FlowVisual aims to help the teaching and learning of key flow field concepts, which are widely used in majors such as Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Atmospheric Engineering, Physics and so forth.

The functionality involves the visualization of field-lines (streamline, pathline, streakline and timeline), stream surface with combination of streamlines and the detection and classification of critical points. Through the app, users will better understand the definitions and the formation of the field-lines and the stream surface, the definitions, the types, and the importance of critical points in flow fields.

Instructors could use this app while explaining these abstract concepts so that the visual interpretation will interest more students to achieve better teaching effects. Students could use it to learn the concepts of flow data and investigate the details.
