Fox Noire LA

Fox Noire LA is a unique application based on TVU Network’s existing TVU Anywhere app. This application has been developed as a partnership between TVU Networks, Fox Television Stations and Dish Nation. The app will be used on Fox Noire, a new streaming channel produced by Fox Television and Dish Nation specifically for the African American viewer in Los Angeles. Launching June 20th, 2019, two shows will be featured each day. From 7-10am in the morning- Fox Noire will feature a call in/Skype in show about the news of the day, lifestyle tips and talk. Hosts will be Tammi Mac and Kristin Smith. At night, from 7-10 pm, Mike Hill and Donny Harrell will host three nights of comedy and culturally inspired discussions. Areva Martin will host two nights each week- with news makers from the southland. The program will be available online at foxnoire.com. The Fox Noire LA app will be used to allow members of the public to call-in live to the Fox Noire show. From an iOS device, they will be able to stream a live video connection with the hosts in order to conduct live discussions and interviews.

In order for hosts to determine the location of the participating audience when they call-in live to the program, the Fox Noire LA app reports the location information of the audience member to the TVU Command Center web service. From here, Directors and Producers can determine location information for production purposes.

Additionally, the Fox Noire LA app will allow the user to take a picture of themselves to submit for initial screening prior to inclusion in the program.
