FoxFilter

After more than a decade as one of the leading content filter add-ons for Mozilla Firefox and Google Chrome, FoxFilter is now also available as a stand-alone mobile browsing app for iPhone and iPad!

FoxFilter is designed to provide filtered access to the world wide web and helps block inappropriate content by allowing you to fully customize your filtering preferences and sensitivity settings. Out of the box, FoxFilter provides filtering rules to help block pornographic content, but you can easily adjust the settings based on your preferences. FoxFilter is a great content filter solution for your family, classroom, office, library, or anywhere you are responsible for the internet content that is being viewed.

In our initial release, FoxFilter does not promise to be the most whiz-bang browser on the market, but does provide the most commonly used web browser features and protective features that parents with children will appreciate. Disabling other browsers on a phone or tablet and locking down the device to prevent your child from adding or removing apps is very helpful in protecting your children with mobile devices.

Tips for Testing:

Rather than using explicit pornographic terms, try using more innocent keywords like “casino”, “turtle”, “kitten”, etc. Visiting sites that pertain to these keywords should be blocked for you.
