Friendly Highways

The National Highway Authority of Pakistan was created back in 1991 through an Act of Parliament. Its Mandate has been to plan, develop, operate, repair and maintain the National Highways & Motorways alongwith strategic routes of Pakistan. NHA is a custodian of more then 39 National Highways and Motorways having more then 12000 kms of road network. It covers 4.6% of the total national road network yet 80% of the commercial traffic is on NHA’s network. N-5 alone carries 65% of the commercial traffic. NHA is committed to providing a safe and smart road experience for the commuters.It functions as the backbone of the nation by connecting different parts of Pakistan and hence promotes integration between people. it also plays an important role in the development of micro and macro economy.
National Highway Authority is custodian of major highways and motorways. These highways are major arteries of economy. NHA is striving hard to provide well functioning, effective, efficient and well connected network.
NHA app is yet another milestone achieved to connect to end road user to enhance the access to information,service delivery, optimise operations, create a constructive feedback mechanism and establish a dissemination channel. This will be a step forward to improve the service for users and will ensure improved governance. This app shall help to take forward the 'Right to Information' Initiative.
