Smart Motorways are the ultimate future of Multi Lane Free Flow (MLFF) Traffic and Intelligent Transportation System (ITS). FWO has taken an initiative to transform existing motorways of Pakistan into Smart Motorways in order to provide seamless travel through toll plazas with complete journey time reliability and safety to our valued motorway users.
It is a great moment of pride for our nation that with the blessing of ALLAH ALMIGHTY and due to pure indigenous efforts of FWO teams, M2 became Pakistan’s first Smart Motorway on 23rd March 2018. This achievement has brought Pakistan in line with several other Smart Motorways of most advance countries of the world.
