App Store Description

Gloverspiece is a school with a real difference. Based in rural Worcestershire it is an idyllic location to provide a unique educational experience.

Our aim is to help children with challenging needs take steps forward. Our children’s goals are not like those in mainstream education – a big achievement to us might be a smile, engaging in conversation or developing confidence.

And we do this with the help of furry friends – horses, pigs, chickens, cats, alpacas, raccoons and so much more.

Caring for these animals is proven to help children with complex needs and conditions like autism.

We offer a unique learning environment based on the individual needs of your child.

As you can imagine as a farm we have facilities for caring for animals in the fields/stables. Other therapeutic activities include music, cookery, art and gardening.

We’re also very lucky to have a newly built bespoke building where children can relax, be taught more formally, play games and escape the elements. This includes a sensory room for children requiring time alone.

We believe we offer a unique experience and our Head Teacher and founder – a mother of five herself, has an incredible passion for helping children with additional needs.

Lynne Duffy, Head Teacher says “As a mother of five, two of which are on the autistic spectrum ,I’ve seen first hand the benefits of working with animals can have on children. The physical labour, caring and interaction with animals brings children out of themselves. It also calms and supports.”
