Gold Badge mobile app for iOS, provides a public platform for users to rate and share their experiences with police officers and departments; both openly or anonymously. Stay up to date with community interactions, as well as direct updates from your local agencies by following any department or badge profile. We provide the ability to search and view user-submitted experiences for any badge number or police department on our platform.
Gold Badge was built to promote interconnection, accountability, and transparency between communities and their local law enforcement agencies. Law Enforcement is an honourable job, and the good done in the community often goes unseen. This platform serves as a space for users to commend any officer or department by rewarding them with a Gold Badge rating, as well as bring attention to any misconduct experienced by the user by assigning a lower badge rating.
We believe that every interaction with police officers should be filmed in order to provide evidence and documentation of events that transpires. By launching the application on the camera tab, we aim to grant users quick and easy access to document, save and post any interaction with law enforcement.
Other features include:
• Search Feature: Search for any badge number or department name in our database and get access to user-submitted experiences.
• Badge Rating: Evaluate your experience by using our Badge Rating System. Gold Badges are awarded to outstanding police officers for actions above and beyond the call of duty.
• Follow Feature: Stay up to date on posts pertaining to specific departments or badge numbers by following that profile. Posts made to followed badge or department profiles will be displayed in you ‘Local Feed’ view.
• Comment Rating: Share your opinion by joining other users in contributing towards average rating of a specific post.
• Chat Feature: Connect with other users in a private space.
• Share with Friends: Raise awareness by sharing any post from our application to your favorite social media platforms.
Claiming a department:
• Visit goldbadge.com to claim and manage your department. Verified users will be able to see recent posts about their department and badge numbers, as well as share updates with their community members who follow them.
