GONE is a joint project with the Royal Victorian Eye and Ear Hospital, Centre for Eye Research Australia and the University of Melbourne.
It is aimed at improving the core skill of optic disc analysis which is critical for the diagnosis and management of Glaucoma, the second most common cause of blindness in the World and the most common cause of preventable blindness in Australia. Over 300,000 people in Australia have glaucoma.
This iPad App provides a portable solution to help diagnose Glaucoma through a simple elegant application, giving doctors this powerful tool when and where they need it. Results can be compared to results of the knowledge base built up by this App and previous GONE Project results.
It is the first validated skill analysis and education tool in ophthalmology and has been validated with the Tobii Eye Tracker.
This App has been designed for use by Eye Surgeons, Optometrists, Ophthalmologists, Medical Students and anyone interested in the Health of the Human Eye.
