App Store Description

Responding to a demand from paediatrics, Graphi seeks to improve the communication between doctors and the child's responsible person, making the growth charts understanding more accessible and, thus, helping the family well being.

The growth charts for atypical children and adolescents in the Graphi application for the Standard group were developed based on child growth patterns published by the World Health Organization (WHO). The data presented were taken from the weight-for-age, height-for-age, body mass-for-age (BMI) , and head circumference-for-age tables published in the years 2006 and 2007 by the WHO. Also for the Standard group, the Blood Pressure test was done using the tables in the article “Clinical Practice Guideline for Screening and Management of Hight Blood Pressure in Children and Adolescents” published in the journal Pediatrics in the year 2017.

The growth charts for children and adolescents with Down Syndrome displayed in the application were developed based on the growth patterns of these children published by the Centers of Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). The data presented were taken from the weight-for-age, height-for-age, and head circumference-for-age tables and published by the CDC in the Pediatrics' journal in 2015.

The graphs for preterm newborn babies presented were based on the INTERGROWTH-21st study. The available data were taken from the weight-for-gestational age, length-for-gestational age , and head circumference-for-gestational age tables published by the entity in The Lancet magazine in 2015.
