Habitood is a mobile application that empowers users by giving them the opportunity to be a part of something bigger than themselves.

Honest, unbiased statistical data for studies, research, or safety can be very difficult to collect and assemble, but to make decisions for a better, brighter future, researchers need data. Study coordinators and organizations need input from people just like you. Habitood users have the opportunity to help support this data collection with very simple and straightforward operations that have nearly no time consumption required - all built into a mobile app.

What is Habitood?

Habitood is a tool that allows an organization, business, school, psych class study, or even a nation-wide study to collect anonymous sample data which can, in turn, be used to analyze behaviors, patterns, company wide training effectiveness, etc. The use cases for Habitood are limitless.

Habitood is a simple tool for allowing users to track their own behaviors. It’s very simple. Once you have been added to your organization and placed on a team (or teams), then you simply indicate when a behavior was performed or when it was overlooked and should have been performed. We ask to be given permission for your location, but that is for the purposes of generating heat maps to determine if behaviors are isolated or wide-spread (this data is not associated with your identity).

You may be concerned that we’re using your data or selling information about you. Habitood derives funding from account holders such as businesses, organizations, and study coordinators. We provide a service for these entities and no information about you is ever sold and the data you volunteer is completely anonymous.

Habitood only records data that YOU volunteer. You enter your name and email at registration time, but that info is only so an organization can see who their Habitood users are. And when an organization compiles all their data, they do not see WHO recorded what data. They are blind to identities and only see the data you volunteered. Also: there are no algorithms trying to mine your device, market to you, etc. In addition, Habitood contracts specifically lay out that organizations who use Habitood will not use this tool to punish people or attempt to learn who recorded what data. That's not what we're about. We're about powering large-scale data collection for statistical analysis and behavioral observation and changes. We want you to be a part of that, but we also want you to know that we take your privacy very seriously and want you to feel free to use Habitood with zero retribution, concerns, or worries.
