Hoodwinked 2018
What is it about?
Wild in Art is a leading creative producer of spectacular, mass-appeal public art events, which connect businesses, artists and communities through the power of creativity and innovation. Wild in Art has partnered with Nottingham City Council to bring a uniquely designed and painted flock of Robins to Nottingham as part of Hoodwinked 2018 - a twist on the tale of Robin Hood. This world-class art trail introduces 33 giant Robins to the streets of Nottingham. Each sculpture is the same shape but uniquely decorated by professional artists from Nottingham and beyond. There are also 55 BookBenches to discover - we challenge you to find them all! They have been designed and painted by schoolchildren from across the city. The event is a large-scale, free public art exhibition and showcase, demonstrating the artistic flair and talent of the city. Just as importantly, it will help to raise awareness and vital funds for the Hoodwinked charity partner, Nottinghamshire Hospice. Download the Hoodwinked 2018 App and see how many Robins and BookBenches you can discover. Once you have found a Robin or a group of BookBenches you can collect them on the app, unlock rewards, view your trail stats and add pictures to our gallery. Enjoy the trail!
