Scabies is an itchy, highly contagious skin condition, and over the past years, there has been an increase in infestations in Denmark.
Hudsvar uses teledermatology to bring the eyes of a doctor directly to your smartphone. Answer a questionnaire and upload photos of your symptoms through the app to receive a remote assessment by expert dermatologists at Bispebjerg Hospital - all done quickly, securely, and anonymously. The result will determine your likelihood of having scabies, and how you should respond.

Who can use Hudsvar?
Scabies is caused by a microscopic mite that burrows inside the outer layer of the skin and spreads through close physical contact.
If you experience symptoms such as intense itching or rashes on your skin, and you suspect Scabies to be the culprit, Hudsvar can put you in contact with an expert dermatologist from the comfort of your home. All you need is a smartphone and an internet connection.

How to use Hudsvar
Answer a questionnaire and take photos of the symptoms on your skin through the app.
The photos are sent securely and anonymously to Bispebjerg Hospital where a dermatologist will assess your symptoms.
The result is available in the app within three working days. The result will show your likelihood of having scabies and whether another skin condition might be present as well.
You will also be advised on how to follow up with your doctor if you have a skin condition that requires treatment.

We understand that your skin is personal, and we value and respect your privacy. Your submission is therefore anonymous. Your health information and photos will only be shared with Bispebjerg Hospital so you can receive a remote evaluation of your symptoms from a professional dermatologist.
