HuGo Explore

HuGo Explore turns family walks, outings, or rainy days into an interactive immersive adventure. Our unique mobile app combines GPS, animation, and education gameplay to get your little explorers outside, exercising and learning. Encourage your children to enjoy the outdoors, promote exercise and unleash their imagination.

Routes - Choose a pre-plotted route nearby or create your own by simply placing five checkpoints. Within a minute you child will be the central figure in one of Hugo's adventures. Make your way to the next checkpoint to continue the animated/augmented reality adventure.

Age groups - HuGo Explore is suitable for children over the age of 3. You can control the level of the educational gameplay by clicking on the age button in the top right of the app. There are two levels of educational gameplay, 3-4 and 5-6.

Tips - When you first install HuGo Explore you will be given a sequence of tips to help you navigate through the screens and plot your first routes. If you want to revisit these tips, you can press on the tips button in the top right of the screen.

Adventures - HuGo Explore is launching with the dinosaur adventure. Learn interesting facts about dinosaurs whilst trying to return the egg to the correct family. More adventures will be following in 2021.

Educational gameplay and content - When designing the HuGo Explore adventures and gameplay we have made sure to cover 5 key components of childhood education. Language and literacy, maths, being active and feeling good, creativity and discovery.

Augmented reality - The dinosaur adventure includes an augmented reality photo at the end of the adventure which can be stored in your photos or uploaded to social media.

Indoor gameplay - There is also a version of the adventure that can be completed indoors. In place of the GPS and route plotting features, users will be faced with a top down map that they need to navigate using directional arrows in order to find the checkpoints.

Colouring game - There is a colouring game with multiple colouring pages based on the themes in the HuGo Explore adventures. Choose a colour and drag your finger over the area you wish to colour. The borders are set to help young children colour within the lines.

Pricing - We offer 2 options, play an adventure for a day for £1.99, or unlock the adventure for life for £4.99 each. This will include access to the adventure both indoors and outdoors.
